AHHHHH!!!!

Thought I might be successful at growing flowers this year.
Here is our front flower bed under. Lots of pansies, columbine, and green ground cover.

Pretty yellow flowers in hanging baskets!

DEAD YELLOW FLOWERS IN HANGING BASKET!!! NOT JUST STRUGGLING OR WILTED, BUT COMPLETELY CRISP AND VOID OF LIFE!

Pretty daisies. NOT!

The cucumber plant that could-but we'll have to see. Yes, the cucumber is surrounded by water weeds (if you water your plants these weeds will show up-if you pull these weeds they spread and you get more of them)

AHHHH!!!!!

I have found that my two favorite things to do is to cook and to plant flowers! I do have to say that I am pretty good at keeping them alive but Jessica is not. Most of hers looks like the dead ones...not all but most! Ha! Your other flowers look beautiful!

You should see my dead flowers. I have never had a green thumb, despite trying every year.

My pansies look about like your poor daisies. Don't feel bad, it happens to me every year.

At least the ones in your front yard are looking good! That's something girl! It's hard to keep up with all the plants around our yards when we are so busy being mommys -- a job that's never done.

By the way -- I love the new graphic you did on the top of your blog! You are really talented and creative with the digi-scrappin' stuff! :-)

The first 2 photos look so good. And they looked good when we were there. I guess the sun gets to things fast. I'll be pulling for the cucumber.
The family pics are great.

Your first picture looks good! My daisys look the same as yours now. Originally they looked good... are we supposed to dead head them? Hey did you come to my yard and take a picture of my cucumber... your weed surrounded cucumber sure looks a lot like my weed surrounded cucumber! :)

Robyn-Just browsing the Prairie 6th ward board and saw your post, I don't know if you remember me or not..anyhow, About your daisies..This time of year you just dead head them, and prettier ones will eventually come back. When you dead head them, just cut off the spent flower, not the stem.. just my two cents worth

Oh the woos of the flower beds. I love the way you documented all the way from beautiful to dead. I don't understand how to get the watering just right, or the dead heads off quickly enough. It is a full time job. :) Your flowers are beautiful.
