September 8—A Little Boy, His Backpack & One Really Silly Story

Miles 1st Day 3

So, Miles was off to school today.  I wish I could say it was monumental, but I guess with the second one things are a lot easier, and Ian has been in school for over a month now so Miles was excited to get at it.  He was so excited to use Ian’s old backpack (aka mommy’s old backpack from college—go Jansport).  He was also excited to have the same preschool teacher Ian had—Miss Lici.  Mommy was excited because even though Miles is a smarty pants he doesn’t like to sit and listen to mommy try to teach him cute little songs and rhymes to help him learn his letters.  The best part of the day was when he came home though.  I asked him if he had fun to which he replied, “I played with a little blue tractor, and Brody he got a new mom.”  Brody goes to our church and as far as I know he doesn’t have a new mom so I asked, “Brody got a new mom?”  Miles said, “Yeah, Brody went to the momstore and got a new mom.  I got you at the momstore.”  I laughed so hard and then asked, “How did you pick me out from all the other moms?”  He said, “Because I like you.”  What a silly boy.  So, even if he doesn’t know all those letters yet he sure can tell a great story!
