August 19—A Sick Boy, Nothing to Do, & One Big Zucchini

Ian was up all night coughing.  He does this periodically and I don’t like to send him to school because he is so noisy.  So after a morning on the couch with a pile of books this little boy got really bored.  I told him if we could find a zucchini in the garden we could make bread.  So off to the garden we went to discover the zucchini that we forgot—it was huge.  We scooped out the seeds and grated away.  We made to loaves of bread and saved the rest in the freezer.

  While dumping the zucchini into the mixer Miles announced, “I don’t like zucchini, but I LOVE zucchini bread.”
